In this section which dates back to the years
627-640 (the Byzantine period), water brought from
Kithara (Degirmenlik) was being kept with the help
of pipes. Today, the remains of the aqueduct can
still be seen.
The columns which carried the conduits were
supported by big shafts on a long wall.
